Get Right to the Point with Text Messaging

Generation X and Generation Y are addicted to text messaging. They are just as busy and constantly on-the-go as you are. If it can be sent through a text message, then GenX and GenY will text it.

According to the 2008 Realtor Technology Survey, 35% of Realtors use a cell phone for texting on a daily basis. There is no question about it, you need to be comfortable with text messaging. Keep your text messages to your buyers and sellers, short, sweet, and to the point. That’s what text messaging is all about. Here are a few things that you can text to buyers and sellers:

  • Open House times and locations
  • Price Reductions
  • Quick Reminders
  • Property Info and Updataes

However, always make sure you place the necessary phone calls. Offer your clients all the options – texting, e-mail, and phone and make sure above all you are communicating with them the way they WANT!
