Are you ready to take the next step you’ve been avoiding? Today is the day to join the social revolution…join Facebook! Or, at least give it the old college try. You never know…it may work for you.
Word on the street is that you should be thinking about marketig your listings in the places where your buyers and seller are these days. You need to get a little more creative if you are looking for new business in this day and age. Facebook is a great way to connect with old friends while promoting your business.
For example, one of your ‘friends’ on Facebook may post that they are ready to sell their home. Since you get a ‘live feed’ of what your friends are writing, you can instantly respond back to them and grab the listing! A perfect way to come across as efficient, and not aggressive.
Finding new business on Facebook may be one of the smartest things a real estate practitioner can do in this tough market.

Hi Dana, I still haven’t joined the facebook network, despite that most, if not all of my friends have a facebook account. For the purposes of real estate marketing, i think that I may go that route and open up an account, for potentially more referrals and business. I recently started blogging, for the increase in real estate activity. Thanks for the info.

Great News Iva!
It never hurts to take the extra step and open up a Facebook or a blog or any type of Social Networking tool. You never know!
Once you get the hang of it (and believe me, you will) you may enjoy it and in turn, that will get you more business!

Hi Dana,
You are right!!! I have met a few agents that have obtained leads, business and visits to their open houses because of their facebook posts.
In order to stay competitive, agents need to join networking sites to prospect, market and connect with others of same interests!!!…. Another professional networking site is “LinkedIn”.
Wishing all a prosperous 2009!
